Where to get an NFC tag
Find out where to buy an NFC tag and what to look for before choosing one for your workplace.
An NFC tag gives you a handy place to tap your iPhone when it’s time to track your work. You can buy one online or look for one at a local electronics shop. Here’s how to choose.
1. Buy online
Online marketplaces and specialist NFC shops are a good place to start. Search for “writable NFC stickers” or “blank NFC tags” to find stickers, cards and key fobs.
Try Amazon or Best Buy. Compare the product specifications, pack size and delivery options before ordering. A small pack lets you try a tag at your workplace before buying more.
2. Check local electronics shops
Prefer to shop in person? Ask an electronics or smart-home retailer whether they stock blank, writable NFC tags. Availability varies, so check with the shop before making a trip.
Ask to see the tag’s specifications. A product described only as “RFID” may use a different technology and may not be suitable for writing an NFC link with an iPhone.
